Exploring the Foundation Frontier

I’ve been blessed to have minimal acne in my life. My mom actually put me on birth control when I was 14 to balance out my hormones, so the most I’ve had to deal with are random white heads. That being said, liquid/cream/ full coverage foundation was never included in my makeup routine. I’d simply dust my face with Bare Minerals loose foundation power to blend in with my under eye concealer as an even base before my blush.

Maybe 22 is the time when my skin starts needing help, or maybe it’s lack of sleep/sun/hydration from my new and very demanding job- but lately I’ve noticed that my skin has been looking dull and tired. Blah!

So my search for a foundation began… Finding a foundation that works for you is like shopping for jeans- it doesn’t matter what anyone recommends because your body is different, and the only way to find out what works best for you is to try everything on!

I purchased a few foundations, and they are either the wrong shades, look cakey, don’t stay on my face evenly, etc.

Finally I came across Covergirl’s Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation!

After watching a few beauty YouTubers rave about this, I decided to give it a try. I’ve just been applying a light coat with my fingers every morning, and I swear it makes my face look air-brushed. If I add highlighter to my cheeks, I look photo-shopped! (That’s a good thing when you live in LA)

I’ve been using it for about a month now, and have tried it in multiple settings. It indeed does last all day. If you happen to be sweating, blotting your face with a tissue will not ruin it! I don’t need to apply this to my neck or ears because it is so blendable to my skin. Amazing. My life is changed.

My color is nude beige. Maybe one day I will post a picture of my terrible dark circles, but those have been something I have had to deal with my whole life. I use the Covergirl concealer, and when I got this foundation, I found out that it already has some in it (3 in 1: primer, foundation, concealer), so some days I don’t even need to apply separate concealer! Game changer, I tell you!

Stay Fabulous,

Emma
